My Boy is 7 Today

Today my oldest son turns 7 years old. Wow, what was my life like 7 years ago before my wife and I were blessed with David? I can tell you one thing, time flies.

He’s going to play football this year for the South Orange Patriots; the season begins the end of July. David is something of a genius; he must get that from his Momma, he loves school, he loves learning new things. He reads books like a fish in the sea. He wants to be a scientist when he grows up. He’s not sure what kind of scientist but maybe something to do with animals. That would be a Biologist, right? See I told you he gets his smarts from his Momma.

What have I got my self into...

Great thing is I love it. I watched my first NASCAR race from start to finsh last night; The Daytona 500. It was fun, exciting and if Biffle would have made a move or I would have activated Kyle Busch I might have won in the new fantasy racing group I'm involved in.

I love it, I can't wait for the next race.

Happy Valentine's Day

This is the graphic I sent to all my co-workers last year, some family members too, and as a result I was disciplined by management because someone complained. Today I sent it out again…but not to “everyone”. I selected certain people throughout the office that I believe need to hear about the love of Christ. Some are Christians, some I’m not sure. The point is, submitting to the authority of the company does not mean I can’t share the love of Jesus, it just means I can’t send out emails to everyone.

Today is a day centered on love, which love? I suggest to you, that today, as Christian we show the love of Christ and if need be (and appropriate) show the love “with some skin on it.”
